Norwegian sprinter, businessman and art collector
Rolf Kristian Eckersberg Stenersen (13 February 15 October ) was a Norwegian businessman, non-fiction writer, essayist, novelist, playwright and biographer.
In June, a total of letters from Edvard Munch to Albert Kollmann were exchanged for four lithographs.
He was also a track and field athlete and art collector.[1][2]
Background
Stenersen was born in Kristiania (now Oslo), Norway as the son of bookseller Johan Martin Stenersen (–) and Martha Kathrine Eckersberg (–).
He graduated from Kristiania Commerce School (now Oslo Commerce School) in , and studied at Queen's College, Oxford, from to [3][4]
He was a Norwegian champion in metres in and , and in 4 x metres relay in [5] He participated at the Summer Olympics in Antwerp, where he competed in metres, metres and 4 x metres relay.[6]
