He graduated "Ironi Alef School of Arts" high-school with a major in cinema. As a boy, Yon starred in three seasons of the television show "The Kids from Napoleon Hill" ("HaYeladim MeGivaat Napoleon").

Additionally, he acted in the role of Dylan, the lead character in the sci-fi drama "The Island" ("Ha'Ei"), which also lasted for three seasons. Both shows were critically acclaimed. Yon won "Actor of the Year" awards for four years in a row (2008-2011) in the Israeli Children's Choice awards.
